Flight of the Phoenix bound

Arrive at Airport Terminal 5, no problems, no gate. Through the first security check, fine. No Gate, get to concourse, no gate, 1hr before flight, no gate, 30 min no gate, 10 min no gate. Still due to fly at five. Apparently the flight to Phoenix, was in our space, and had technical difficulties, instead of delaying that flight, they decided to board it first then us. Boarding a 777 seems to now take 90 min so we can all go through the extra special security checks. In the air at 7pm Flew over Dublin, wrong one. Settled down to District 9 and Harry Potter.

10:05 pm landed, immigration now to go. Connecting flight leaves at T-15, damn I think I saw it take off at 9:50 while we were taxing.
After walking the length of the arrivals hall, at 11pm found the BA desk, of course they issue the hotel vouchers is located in Departures. Overnight in Washington Hilton. Ug! Still in bed by 1am.
Up at 5:00 parents send text message, can't sleep, optimise packing.
6am breakfast not included, $20 for it ripoff.
6:30 bus to airport.
7:00 checked in, security, masses on security, leave loads more time than you think necessary.

Noticed my left knee is playing up, probably because I shoved it in a bank of snow to belay while ice climbing last weekend. Traipsing around with the Luggage does not help, more on the Luggage later.

What to make of Columbus

I am off, soon. Not yet packed, but there is still time.

I will be working in Dublin, just on the outside of Columbus OH, so I guess the experience will be different to your typical holiday. I will be there much longer, and I will get to know how the Columbus office ticks.

What will 62 days in a town sporting a field of concrete corn, the Bud' brewery and located precisely within 25hrs drive from 90% of the US be like. With no climbing how will I get my fix?

Who know but I guess I will find out!
